About Us

The North Lake Tahoe Resort Association (NLTRA) serves as both the Chamber of Commerce and the Destination Marketing Organization for the greater North Lake Tahoe region. The NLTRA is primarily funded through an agreement with Placer County for use of a portion of the Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) funds. These funds provide a full spectrum of tourism marketing focused on midweek and shoulder-season visitation including: conference and leisure sales, consumer marketing, special events, and visitor services for businesses in the North Lake Tahoe area. Membership fees, sponsorships and fundraising provide Chamber of Commerce activities within the region including: educational support, business development, advocacy, networking, and economic analyses.
