NTBA Executive Director

North Tahoe Business Association seeks an Executive Director to lead and be the spokesperson for the non-profit, member-based organization. The Executive Director is expected to demonstrate strong leadership in executing North Tahoe Business Association’s mission to improve economic vitality and quality of life in the communities of North Lake Tahoe. Responsibilities include all areas of association management including but not limited to marketing and communications for the association, NTBA District, members, and events; member and partner relationship development and management; budgeting, financial operations, and fundraising; event planning, production, other program management, and Board of Director and staff management.

Tasks include, but not limited to:

  • Organization Development/Management
  • Partner and Member Recruitment/Retention/Relations
  • Marketing of NTBA District, members and events
  • Community Events and sponsorship
  • Community Representation, Involvement, and Awareness
  • Board, Committees, and Staff Management

Required Qualifications:

  • A degree in nonprofit, public, or business administration, community development, or tourism marketing; or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including public relations and public speaking skills
  • Experience managing contracts
  • Experience working with a volunteer Board of Directors and committees a plus
  • Experience in community event planning and execution
  • Experience and proven track record in tourism marketing including website, email marketing, social media, and digital and offline advertising
  • Proven as fiscally responsible and capable with an ability to raise money through grants, fundraising, sponsorship, and donations
  • Proven ability in relationship building, management, and growth
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • High proficiency with Microsoft programs and Google Suite
  • Experience with customer/member relations and retention
  • Experience with AMS/CRM software and database management
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Experience with Quickbooks a plus

At-Will Position. Annual salary pay range: $50,000 - $67,000 DOE
